In a world where time is controlled by a guild of elite timekeepers, each responsible for maintaining the flow of time in their designated regions, there exists a strict rule: timekeepers must never fall in love with mortals, for it risks breaking the fabric of time itself.
Kai, a gifted timekeeper, has spent centuries ensuring that time flows smoothly. He’s distant, cold, and follows the rules of his guild to the letter. His existence is a lonely one, yet he is content with his duty to guard the timeline.
However, one day, Kai meets Ren, a brilliant yet struggling watchmaker who lives on the outskirts of the city. Ren is fascinated by time, yet unlike anyone else, he doesn’t desire to manipulate it—he respects its inevitability. When Ren repairs a broken watch Kai purposely leaves behind as an excuse to meet him, the two men slowly form an unlikely friendship.
As time passes, Kai becomes captivated by Ren’s passion and his unique outlook on life. Ren is free-spirited, warm, and lives in the moment—qualities that make Kai question his own existence. Soon, their friendship evolves into something deeper, something forbidden.
Kai wrestles with his duty as a timekeeper and his feelings for Ren, knowing that falling in love with a mortal could lead to disastrous consequences. Yet, every moment he spends with Ren makes him more certain that this love, no matter the risk, is worth it.
When the guild discovers Kai’s transgression, they give him an ultimatum: either erase Ren’s memory and their love, or face the ultimate punishment—having Ren’s life removed from the timeline entirely, as if he had never existed.
Heartbroken and torn between love and duty, Kai must make a decision. Will he sacrifice their love to protect Ren, or will he risk breaking the very fabric of time itself to hold onto what they share?
